its just right not loud at idle or cruising just a a low deep rumble nothing obvious and then when you hit the gas it really comes alive. personally i would have liked to have it a little meaner sounding at idle. when u first turn the car on the idle sounds just the way id like it to but once the car warms up it quiets down a bit.
i guess ill have exactly what i want after i get a new cam and the heads done.

i had a 95 z28 stock lt1 6 speed with no cats, ebay intake, and a set of mickey thompson slicks on the stock wheels, with a cheap flow master exhaust with stock piping, and my best run in 90 degree was a 13.601 at 104 mph powershifting it.

WOW, brought back from the dead...
Mine went 13.50@103.9 on a 2.0 short time the only time at the track it was bone stock in 96. Put 4.10 gears, K&N, 160 t-stat, and HPP+ for the speedo and went 13.18@104.9 on a 1.89 short time. Both times were at MIR and still on the original GSC's. Think I had 6K miles on it by then.

My brother bought his 97 m6 ss new in 97. hundreds of BONE STOCK (actual stock not the loser drag racer definition) runs filed away. paper filter, comp ta zrs lvl 2 suspension and totl exhaust the whole factory bit.
Best are 14.00 @ 99.9 mph (best e.t and mph listed) almost all close runs are 14.0-14.1 @ 99-99.9 mph. best 60' was 2.1 ish so with a 1.8 or 1.9 id say 13.8s were about the best he'd go but thats speculation. About 40 runs in englishtown NJ, maybe 250 runs at Toronto motorsports park, 50 or so at St.Thomas and a few hundred on toronto streets after 3am

Bringing back some memories. Check this out. My '95 A4 ran 14.6-14.7 bone stock. With no power adders (only boltons) I ran high 11's. How 'bout a trophy for most improved without a power adder. LOL!!!
I was disappointed the night I broke the record because the weather was perfect and right before the sun went down the xmas tree broke. With the cooler temps I would have picked up another 2-3 tenths which I really wanted to see. Unfortunately it didn't happen, at least not officially. :/
