Yah I know his 60ft is a lot better than mine. I think mine was like a 2.0, maybe a 1.9. BUT, I'm assuming his car makes more power as well, which should net a higher trap speed than mine...

I ran almost the same time in my 95 Z28 with the same mods. I ran 14.0 with K&N CAI and Flowmaster Catback and 2.73 gears. Had a 2.0 60 ft time.

I have yet to run my car myself to see what I can do, but the previous owner ran my car at Englishtown and he got 13.2. My car does have a 2800 stall, and long tubes. That's with stock ecm and the stock 323 gears and the car is a auto.

I always look at the mph since most guys that dont have radials or slicks are either babying it out of the hole or blowing the tires off. The best mph I ever got was 97 at 1300 ft DA. I dont think a stock LS is 10 mph up on that so the gap really isn't enormous. But obviously the potential of the LS is far higher due to sheer head CFM. If youre going to take it apart I would pray you dont put it back together without touching the heads.

I like mph for a m6 especially. I trapped 101mph at 800ft above sea level with temps in the 50's. Temp and humid can + or - 1-2 mph easily too. I had a cai for my only mod. E.T. was 14.2 with a bogish 2.2 60ft. With slicks it would of gone easy 13.9's or quicker.
Well.....BSmiff.....I put it back together with only a 3 angle valve job lol. But also with a 215/224 cam, roller rockers, ewp, and headers...........hoping to trap 107-110 now.

I had a customer with a a 94z A4 completely bone stock to the paper filter, he built it from the suspension up and all he had was a street tune, he ran 13.0 flat and with a 100 shot ran 12.1.

Best stock on street tires was a 13.6 @ 102 at Houston Raceway Park in the fall. Somewhere in Sept or Oct. Back to back runs it ran a consistent 13.8 @ 101.

Wasn't that from Road and Track? Those 1/4 ET's are bullshit for the SS. Car and Driver had it at 13.6 @ 102. Only 107mph f-bodys I saw that were stock motors were from Shawn Salazar and Jordon Musser and they had midlength headers and ORY-pipes on DR's. There was a 96 Cobra at the track the day I did a 13.6. He and I raced back to back on several runs and we were both running in the 13.8 range. I remember it well because he was the better driver and would always get me on reaction time, but felt a little vindicated because my MPH was always 1mph higher.

Dang that was so long ago I dont remember, but no weight reduction at all. His car always ran very well, eventually he was running low 10's of course with a fully built motor with heads, cam, bolt ons and a 200 or 300 shot. this was like over 10 years ago.
