car stumbling bad

mine did the EXACT same thing, no SES lights. every time i had to stop at a light i thought the car was going to blow up from the way it was acting. if i put it in neutral it wouldnt be as bad but it was still there.
at first i thought it was maybe a bad o2 or the fuel filter, i changed those out and it still ran like ****. i went through the car and couldnt find anything wrong. my last ditch effort was the opti. sure enough it was, i replaced it and it runs perfect again.

if your going to do it yourself make sure you have plenty of time to do it. its a pretty long drawn out process to do it.
check here for a few good writeups for how to install it yourself http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/Guides.htm
If you are going to pay that much then get the MSD version for $500. Or do like I did and call up Jason Cromer at Sam Taylor Buick and get a vented one for $195. And I found out that wasn't even the problem. This can be caused by several things. In my case the ground had come loose on my ignition box. It could also be plug wires, or other related things. If it happens while driving it could be the EGR valve. Try to eliminate the easier and cheaper items first. I would start with the plug wires.
