I need a catted Y-Pipe!
Does anyone know of a catted y-pipe that will fit with Pacesetter LT's on an LT1? I prefer to buy one than to have one custom made. If I go the custom made route, what cats should I get? remember I'll need 2 of them and they must be small enough to fit on the y-pipe. I dotn wanna spend over $100 a piece either.
BTW: do ya think the flowmaster or a cutout would sound better with LT's and no cats?

Just get the Pacesetter y-pipe and have 2 cats welded into it. Pypes exhaust has some decently small 3" cats for around $59 each. You can also find some stainless 3" cats for around $36 each from Performance Curve.

I haven't decided yet. I just passed inspection 2 weeks ago so I have 2 years to decide. But I'll probably get the cats put on early in the spring when the weather warms up. By bolting up the y-pipe I'll be able to check clearances and then decide which cats to use. At least having the y-pipe will allow me to drive the car if I want to.

I'll probably drive my car over to Kook's and let him install something neat, like he did on my Monte 15 years ago. Good folks those Kooks.

If you want the "best" go with the Kooks longtubes and catted Y-pipe. It'll cost you a pretty penny, but I hear that the headers have good ground clearance, they're stainless, and so is the Y-pipe, plus it already has cats in it. For best cats though, look at Random Technologies'.
