Default coated or uncoated LT pacesetter headers?

Is it horrible to buy the uncoated LT pacesetter headers? What is the downfall of buying these instead of the coated headers. Is anyone else running the uncoated headers? thanks for the help guys!

Uncoated will rust and look like **** after a period of time (usually relatively short period).

Also the coated headers will not get as hot, which will reduce the likelyhood of things like burnt wires or other heat issues.

There are people on here who bought uncoated then couldn't stand them and switched to coated. Do it right the first time, get them coated.

Id def get coated especially for only about $100 more. You will burn up your plug wires etc. if you dont get coated plus if you live in an area with good amounts of rain or snow you should def get coated because it will protect the headers plus it makes them look better. Go Coated and you will be happy.

Definitely coated, make 'em longtubes. Check out stainless steel if you've got the cash as well.

A coating basically keeps more heat inside, keeping the compartment cooler. It also looks a TON better.

I would definitely get coated headers. Non-coated will probably melt or burn something in the engine compartment. Ground clearance looks great on my car so far but I only have the driver's side header in at this point. I tweaked my back shoveling snow so the rest of the header swap will have to wait a few days.

I have pacesetter longtubes on my car now, ground clearance is great, On a stock height car I lost an inch of clearance tops. I have weld on SFC's as well, and the headers and sub-frames are even with eachother. I can post pics if you would like.

As everyone else said, get the COATED headers. These engine compartments are just to crammed and there are too many electronics in close proximity to run old school uncoated headers.
