Default Looking Foreward 2 Spring -Post Your Plans

We've had a hellacious winter so far in SD, My Camaro is down and out for the time being, until I put in the MSD Optispark replacement, if it ends up being avaliable. But I'm already saving up for spring modding, this summer I will be out of highschool and working 40 hours a week . My car will be paid off as well, which means mod money. I'm sure many of you are looking foreward to spring and figured we had nothing better to do then share our mod plans. Hopefully none of you are struck driving a 76 Ford F-100, complete white trash style, with a three on the tree tranny complete with mismatched rims and tons of rust, oh the price of having a non-winter friendly car.

Anyway, here are my plans, nothing too exciting.

-Pacesetter LT's Coated
-Hooker Catback
-Off-Road Y-pipe
-QTP Electronic Cut-Out (maybe)
-17.9 Black ZR1's all the way around with a sticky tire
-Strange 3.42 Gears
-Fuddle Racing 3000 RPM Torque Converter
-Shift Kit
-Eibach Pro-Kit Springs
-BMR Subframe Connectors
-BMR Strut Tower Brace (Looks mostly)
-Re-Tint of windows
-Brighter Bulbs
-Spot Paint if possible
-58mm Throttle Body (Maybe)
-PCM 4 Less Tuning

Plus what I'm getting for Christmas:

-Blackout Headlight Covers
-Astra 777 Alarm/Keyless Entry
-Smooth Locks
-Z28 Liscense Plate Frame

I will probably put in a decent stereo as well.

Some of this will be accomplished some won't, I'm for sure doing my exhaust, gears, converter, tuning and rims. I will have about 1200 in my pocket every month so these mods shouldn't be too hard to accomplish, and I plan on doing most of them myself, so I can win the end of summer mod war with my friend Rick and his 94Z. Hopefully I can end up with a 12 second street friendly car .

my plans are this

pacesetter LT coated headers
LT4 knock module
LT4 hotcam kit (for price and driveability)
madz28 or pcmforless tuning
new tires
strut tower brace
subframe connectors

looking for hopefully 330-340 at the wheels with this setup which will hopefully be good enough for low 13's or high 12's

eventually when money isn't as much of a problem probably some porting for the stock heads

Started taking all of the accessories off this weekend. Hope to have the engine out by the 3rd week of this month. Sending the bottom end off to be rebuilt and ordering a H/C package from LE.

I will have a roots blower on my mine by the spring hopefully. Started sunday on machining the parts for the intake I'm building. I'm pretty sure I won't even have to cut the cowl to fit it in there. I'll have to wait and see for sure though.

Neil, the quote in your sig made me laugh

Hrmmmm....I've been doing alot of building and waiting this year so next year (some of this will probably be done before years end) should most likely look something like:

-Clean up wiring
-Wire up versafueler
-Mount Digital 6
-Mount Coil
-Take some pics of motor on stand
-Install motor
-Give the car a bath (been over two years!)
-Decide who is going to tune it
-Put it on the trailer and haul it somewhere to get tuned
