Default Oxygen Sensors

I have just noticed that me car has 4 oxygen sensors. I was wondering when i am putting kooks long tube headers and off road y-pipe will i use all 4 sensor. Or what will i have to do. I thought that when you get long tubes there is only two o2 bungs. Any help would be great.
Thanks

the rear two 02 sensors are after each catalytic converter to check to see if the cats are working. if you don't have emissions testing where you are and want to run without cats you can get them completely tuned out. if you want run without cats and have emissions testing you'll need to get 02 simulators. if you want to run cats then you'll have to get a catted y-pipe and have the rear 02 sensors after that.

He is right. If you plan on running the LT's with an ORY (Off Road Y-Pipe) In my opinion your best method would be to run O2 Sims in the rear, and have your rear O2's tuned out. And run Corvette Rear O2's in the front, Delphi and a couple of other places make the front 02's, I can't think of the other two but I'm sure someone will chime in or you can search. Your probably going to want a mail-order or custom tune after your LT's anyway, so I would have them delete the rear 02's then. I recommend PCMForLess if your looking for a mail order tune, a couple of other places do it too, and it's pretty cheap as well.

so do i just leave the connectors hanging there if i get them tuned out. And then just run the regular heated o2's in the o2 bungs in the long tubes.
I do plan on running no cats.

you could ziptie them up somewhere. you may need to extend the 02s for them to reach to the new bungs. if you do it yourself, definitley do not use connectors, but solder it.

Why not use the connectors?

Most people seem to agree that the connectors are not gonna hold up over time due to the location of the wiring.

i would be more worried about screwing up the signals with any added resistance or not so great a connection.

Yep he is right. using crimp connectors will result in a false signal being transmitted, due to higher resistance. Soldering would be better. I think someone makes o2 extensions though.

Well... never thought of that. Even better reason to solder.
