There are several things that can trigger an ABS light. Brake light bulbs out, ABS wires close to spark plug wires, low voltage problems (like a bad connection at the battery) and wheel sensors. I had one of the wires to one the wheel sensors chewed through by the front tire when a shop didn't get the wire back into the retainer clip after a spring/shock install. Then a had a bad ground connection at the battery that caused the light.

Oddly enough no. I have underdrive pullies and it doesn't trigger the light when the voltage drops at idle. I am not sure why that is now that you mention it.

my '92 vette had similar problems - they all went away when i replaced my TPS
i don't know why or how, but haven't had a code since - before you go just replacing it, you should test it to make sure it's functioning properly.

now that i think about it - perhaps it wasn't the TPS - but i would still check it.
my vette did this when i would slam on the brakes and the pedal felt funny.
what ended up fixing the problem was a complete brake fluid flush (well maybe that wasn't all - we also changed my rear brakes while we were at it.
i also heard that if you have "magnetic dust" around the sensors you should clean that away first - it might not be a defective sensor, just a magnetized one that needs to be cleaned!

well check for the magnetic buildup around the "inside" of the dust shield (i'm assuming it has rear disc brakes) and by inside i mean under the car the side that points to the other wheel
if it has drum brakes, check on the ouside of axle housing.
and if you haven't ever done it, i recommend a system flush - you can buy a DIY pressureized power bleeder
hope ebay links are allowed

i got a buddy that bought one of these - said it was the BEST $60 he ever spent - he did his car, and we did mine just a few weeks ago.
i think a power flush is $125 at your local brake shop - so here's a way to "stick it to the man"
