yes they work great, I like the B&M Ripper, but there are other great shifters on the market for 4th gen fbodies.

anyone that knows how to race and shift correctly will tell you the spongy stock shifter does no justice compared to a short-throw. Miss 3rd gear a few times going down the track you'll decide it's a good investment. Easy to install in an hour or two.

good luck

dude it's like night and day, I promise you will notice the difference immediately. If you go with the Ripper, well mine had these washers that were direction specific (think they still do just read the directions well) and mine also has the adjustable shift distance (B&M quit doing that because ppl were screwing up their trannies and blaming them). Pretty straightforward install.

The firmness is literally a feel from mushy and feeling like shifting a jeep wrangler (exaggerating a little) to a firm shift with less distance between gears compared to stock.

hope this helps a little.

I believe its the louies short stick Sp? on Louies. It would help by reducing the height of the stick making it have shorter throws.

^WTF???? The pro 5.0 is a different shifter....

The pro5.0 shortens the throw, and the LSS shortens the throw even more. So you get double the bennifits. You can ad a short stick to your stock shifter base if you want...

I have the pro 5.0 power tower and the lou's short stick and it is a HUGE difference. I love the feel, and you won't miss third ever again (well, at least a WHOLE lot less)! Definatley a great investment...

I have run a LSS on a stock shifter for years. Don't see any need to switch.

Been running the Ripper for 70,000 miles now. Great product. When i sit in my buddy's car and throw the stock shifter, it feels so loose. Shifting with that thing is like trying to pull nails out of a board with a rubber crow bar!

pro 5.0 is leaps and bounds better than a stock shifter, and a ton better than the hurst that came in my car! an old friend made me a custom stick based off of my l.s.s. which is collecting dust somewhere in my garage, lol!!!!
