should only be 15.5 gallons, where are you getting 18 from, the pump?

If you are using the same pump at the same station over and over, perhaps it is out of whack. Try filling up at a different location at about the same time you would normally fill up (whether you look at the gauge or go my miles or whatever). See what another pump says.

Unless someone put a bigger tank in? Your tank should be 15.5, I would second the earlier responses of the pump being messed up.

Whether the effect of the pump being out of calibration was intentional or not, it needs to be looked into. It would have to be out of calibration cuz I have run mine over a time or two and I've never got anything close to 18 gal.

Most I've ever put in my '94 was just over 15 gallons. And I was sweatin' it...

Unless you got one of those Smokey Unick "Nascar" gas tanks...

I would consider filling a 5 gallon gas can at a different station and marking where the 5 gallon line is. Then take that same empty can to your station and put in 5 gallons from the pump. If the gas can has only about 4 gallons in it, report them to the local news station or the state.

alright went to another gas station and same thing. 18 something galloons, but this time it started to leak a bit and had a puddle of gas under my car by the rear end.

The damn stopper didnt work on the gas pump for some reason.

BUt yea it stopped then started to leak a lil bit, but it did hold 18 something galloons...

odd huh?
