Default Cut outs

Hey everyone, I want to put a cutout on my 96 WS6. I also want to put them before the cats so it will be a true cutout (essentially running open headers when the cutout is open). So my question for everyone is from my understanding a 96 t/a has two cats, so will I need to put two cutous (one before each cat)??

Thanks in advance,

Cameron

If you want them to do their max effort then yes you'll need them pre-cat installed.

yes you'll need two if you have longtubes which your sig states, but I don't see how you have longtubes and are going to use your stock catted Y. It will not even fitup.

Well the exhaust shop said they could make it fit with some welding. Is that not true. If thats not true then i will be going to stock manifolds and y pipe. Will i still need two for stock manifolds and stock y pipe. Also if i were to jus keep my setup that i have now (pacesetter LT's and ORY) then would I only need one cutout?

Well i would guess running LTs, ORY, and LM that you reall dont have much of an exhaust restriction problem and by adding a Cut-out you would probably only see a minimal gain. $.02

Well i guess i should have said that I am considering trading my freind for his borla. That is what brought all this cutout talk about because i want to have the borla for when i want it to be loud but not obnoxious and the cutout when i want it to be obnoxious
