Spray the hell out of them the night before with penetrant, I prefer pb blaster. Then spray them again in the morning. Also apply pressure on them smoothly, don't go banging on the wrench with a hammer to break them loose.

soak them in a GOOD penetrant...pb blaster or kroil(wd 40=suck) a couple times as cb just said, and make sure to use a 6 point socket.

At a muffler shop we did manifold jobs alot, and if the PB blaster didnt do it we would heat up the bolt and turn it out slow. But I dunno if you have a torch at the house of Neil

I soak all bolts that look like they are going to cause me trouble with PB blaster for a couple days.

The correct way is to get the exhaust bolts hot (or atleast warm) trust me.... either they will strip the threads or break when you try and take them out when they are cold. You could get lucky and not have a problem but from my experiences I personally would take out any kind of exhaust bolt hot.

hey if i were u neil i would replace the header bolts and get some allen heads bolts.

SO much damn easier to tighten and get too... kinda hard in some placess to put a socket too...

i had to do that for my driver side rear header bolt.
