when ppl tell me to get an lt4 knock module, is it "lt4" b/c u need to have done the lt4 conversion to get it or wut?? and wut does it do for me?

 

It is made to detect real knock from valvetrain noise caused by roller rockers since the LT4 came with roller rockers.

You can buy just the knock module for like $30.

 

you use it when you have headers or roller rockers as the LT1 knock module will detect a knock and your car will not run right.

 

I just bought one from my local dealer it is closer to 40's. I was surprised to actually feel a differance.

 

I programmed mine out. I mean SBC's ran without them for 40 years. I've heard of a few guys getting retard anyway, even with the LT4 KM. I don't recommend it cuz I'm sure someone will say it's very dangerous to go without them.

 

If your PCM was programmed properly, you don't need it.

 

I'm about to do the same thing as soon as I can verify that my knock is false (pretty sure it is).

 

Well I did some reading on madz28 website. Although they can make your module less sesitive they recommend going with the LT4 knock module because it does a better job.
