I thought that I was in the ball park until I went to a shop looking for a dyno run. A tuner at the shop asked me about my mods and then showed me his twin turbo Fixed Roof Coupe Corvette that was sitting on the dyno after a fresh 700+ hp run.

You can mod the heck out of an LT1/4 however, the LSX guys can mod their cars too.

If you can get everything needed for the swap for a good price then I say by all means go for it. If the price for everything needed plus labor plus what the car is worth minus for miles on engine and motor comes out less than buying a 98 for with equal or less miles then it's worth it in my book. Are you refering to the motor out of the wrecked black convertible?

I cant stand when people throw LS1s in LT1 bodies. Ghay.

I beat a 98 1LE by .3s when I had Flowmaster 80 Series, CAI and a hypercrap. He was stock.

Why? Thats what happens when you think your LT1 isnt fast enough and you dont want to take the time and make it fast. You want the LSx god motors bla bla bla. I love having an LT1 and knowing that when I get a fat *** stack of money saved up Im going to have one hellova fast 396.

wtf? how is that gay? The LS1 is the better overall motor. What's wrong with upgrading? Sure it will be more expensive than just modding the lt1, but if that's what someone wants, how is that a bad thing?

i hope u never have to run someone like me cuz ur gonna get ur *** handed to u and then some
seeing as how iam the former ower of 3 lt1 f cars
i made the RIGHT decision on the power plant
thats coming from someone who has had a 383 lt4 pnp
and turbo 355 lt1 with 8 psi
that ls1 engine i used rivaled if not beat the 355 lt1 in pulling feeling and making more power than my 383 lt4 230's cam engine
not trying to start a war just stating facts
ive been there with the lt1 stuff
what ur saying to me
is like saying boning Britney is gay

Exactly my point.

For Example look at 97blkz's car 11second LT4. Thats bad ***. But I suppose he should quit his project and get an LS1 and run a second faster with the same setup? LT1s ARE fast LS1 ARE fast. Have you ever taken a ride in a low 13 second car? Its a god damn bullet. Needless to say whatever your goals are set at im sure you can reach them with either motor.

And "boning" britney is gay, have you seen Kevin Federline?
Good Call though......

i would say you can consider throwing an LS1 in your car another pretty big mod. its still a faster engine... LT1s are stronger and probably better equipped to handle nos and stuff like that
