15 degree heads! Why all the bickering over if? What if? If I did this? Cheaper to mod....Face it the LS1 is newer and better technology! LS1>LT1. Big deal....so what! LS6 and LS7>LS1. Own up to reality. It's obviously going to take quit a few mods to "destroy" a lighter car with a 40+ rwhp advantage! It sounds like some of you guys have a short mans complex. I used to have a pig 97 mustang GT, and never had a problem admitting that the newer 4.6's were better and faster. They had a 40+ rwhp on me also. Of course I could/did mod the car to beat stock 99+ GT's, but it took alot of work to beat a car with a big rwhp advantage.
You sir are a smart man.

Youre correct. Now watch someone reply to your post and say well if we do this this this and this and mabey that the LTX will be the same as a stock LS7. That's when the arguing and name calling starts.

+1 I love modded LT1's and modded LS1's! I love the "rip your head off" sound a healthy LT1 can make!

Man, you were'nt joking.

I notice this term new technology is getting thrown around quite a bit. Correct me if Im wrong but isn't the whole idea of a pushrod engine old technology. I mean if you hang out long enough on the mustang boards thats what they refer too as old technology. Overhead cam is the way to go according to them, anything that doesnt fall into that catagory including the LS1 is old school.

My point, who cares. Stick enough money in whatever you like and make'm look at your tail lights. Winning is winning the technology argument goes out the window if you don't cross the finish line first
