Thanks guys..... Believe me I've been wanting to join that very short but dignified list for years.... Just never had the financials to support it. Now switched jobs and doing well although it has still taken almost 3 years to finish.... Now the tension is building cause I'm almost done....

BTW, Chris what's been up with the car??? I had heard you wanted to sell it for a short while and hadn't heard about the latest updates....

N2oDave, hell yeah if everything comes together for all of us there will be three new additions to the 8 second list... Possibly more too, as Jeff Stevens who lives close to me is supposedly building an 8 second combo as we speak. he's been 9.47 but he keeps that car pretty streetable and at an amazing 3700+ curbweight!

1. Big Rick
2. Sikora
3. blank
4. blank
5. blank

We need to rectify this situation!!!!

I'll think you'll get there Tony... hell with those RWHP #'s if your curbweight is down pretty low you might run 9's on the motor..... Spray a ton of nitrous at it and hope the front end doesn't go too vertical and you're in there...

Oh almost forgot. Finished up my little fabrication project today with my XFI box.... Didn't want to punch more holes in the floorboard and the wiring harness is really too short to do anything super creative so I fabbed this up. riveted to the cage, made of T6 aircraft aluminum and i used rubber grommets between the XFI box and the plate to isolate some of the vibrations.... I apologize for my lack of door panels... That project is next on the fab list... I borrowed this idea from the W2W car they did for dave underwood.... they did the exact same thing with his BS3 box. Whaddaya think????

Now that you mention it, no..... Big Rick was turbo, Sikora was blown..... Madman, Billingsley, and Dave Diluca all went low 9's i believe on juice..... but that was it..... 9.0's and 9.1's.... even George Baxter's car got real close before dumping the LT1.....

So the first person to run 8's on a sprayed LT1 will be the first one ever..... cool....

Sounds like right now the race is between myself, DaveN20, Tony Shepherd and I think there are 2 others that are currently building serious LTx based nitrous cars....

Where the hell under the dash is that??? I couldn't figure it out Looks good though. I wanted to be able see the LED's if I had to and since my dash won't come out anymore i wanted it visible and easy to get to instead of having to be upside down working on it like a frikkin pretzel...

Yup, electrical tape. I did it years ago on my old cage cause i would daily drive the car and it would sit in the sun and the cage would get absolutely SMOKING HOT (it was painted black).... So the electrical tape rubberizes the surface so it doesn't get hot... and if you take your time you can get that cool pattern like i have on mine.... try it it works... and it's cheap as hell to do...

HAH! You'll see soon enough.... Like you plan on stopping at 10's!?!?!?!?!?!

Watch a year from now you'll be posting up pictures of your car with the interior completely torn out so you can find a place to mount a third 15lb nitrous bottle for your 600 shot of nitrous....

Nice Outlaw. How was the wiring for that XFI? I mounting mine in a similiar position since I don't have a cage......yet. The kick panel on the passenger side. Cutting a whole the size of the box and running it that way....provided my wire harness has the ability to do that....it hasn't shown up yet.

all the wiring comes pre loomed with a big grommet seperating engine stuff and interior stuff..... it's not really complicated. plug it in and go it seems. we'll see how the wiring of the cam position plug goes though since i don't know what i'm going to use for that... pre 96 LT1's don't have cam position sensors so i gotta figure out where to get that signal from...

Yeah i think it describes where you get the signal from however i think with an opti you get both cam signal and ignition from it. So that one plug might solve both issues. i'll talk to the guys at FAST and figure it out once the motor is installed...
