Default warm cockpit

Is this the usual case with all camaros, becuase I dont remember the car doing this until recently (or maybe i just realized it since the weather has become so warm)

I know these engines heat up a lot but is it normal for a lot of this heat to get into the cockpit? it seems more obvious when i drive on a highway that the heat is forcing itself in the cockpit...

is this normal or is there something wrong with the car?

Sounds like the lower vents are stuck open. Sometimes they do that.

I've noticed my floor pans get very warm. After driving you can put your hands down on the carpet and you can feel how hot they are.

I never taken one on a Camaro apart, but the lower one on my Caddy is open all the time. It's not really that bad on that car, it feels nice when it gets cool out. I don't know how hot it is in the Camaro though.

I have also felt an occasional warm blast of air on my legs when driving my car, it came from underneath my steering column...

My vacuum thing next to the heater box was busted open and kept the vents open, check yours. Shoebox's site has a good article on it.

I noticed the same thing on My car. For me, the cause was from having the Temp. control switch in the warm position. After I moved it to the cool position I got cooler air coming in. Try it I bet thats whats going on.

Someone mentioned it earlier, the Vacuum is not working properly to that vent. It could be broken, or have popped off. I found one of the Vacuum Lines located near the PCM, it is plastic, and touchy, so be careful how you handle it.

its not about when controlling the heater or anything, you just feel heat around the shifter area/floor. This is when you feel heat when you have your A/C or heater system completely off.
