Pacesetter LT's??
Can't speak from experience for an LT1 (someone will chime in soon). The trick is to go at it from the bottom. You don't have to with an LS1 and I wouldn't expect it to be different for yours.

on my 95 the driver's side went in from the top after unhooking the steering shaft and on the passenger side I put it in thru the bottom, had to remove the starter and dipstick. I also installed them the same on a 94. You will need to get the front up about a foot and a half tho.

Agreed, heard it helps a lot if you have an engine hoist. Just pull the engine up some and it gives you a bit more clearance.
I had to lift the motor on the passenger side to get that header in on my 96 SS. But I have emission's headers which made it a lot tougher. Each install is a little different, but you might as well be prepared for a worst case scenario.

I know that you have the remove the Steering Shaft. I am changing the Head Gaskets, so I am installing the LT's then. I am taking the Heads off, sliding the LT's in, and then puting the Heads on and bolting the Headers to them. That should be a little easier than what most people do.

I also have a 94' and I couldn't get the header in on the passenger side. It kept hitting the K-member. I never got that side in so I didn't bother with the driver side. I was running out of time and didn't have the right tools available. So a shop did it for me. Thats all I know about it.
on my 97 i undid the steering shaft on the driver's side and it slid right in. On the passenger's side I took the bolt out of the motor mount, and jacked the motor up on that side about an inch for extra clearance. Remove the starter as well.

I recommend a better set of headers. I have pacesetters on my 94 and there going on my 396 stroker and the way there made really isnt that good. They hit the floor board on both sides and don't really flow that good. A good set of Kooks or Hooker Super Comp's would be way better. Thats just my 2 cents worth though.
