I am fairly sure he meant power wise, too which I have no answer other than to say it will depend how far you go with everything else.

I wish I had numbers for ya.
I've always done the manifold when I do heads, so I've never done a
comparisson dyno. It just seems to me that spending a few $K on a project
then leaving such a big restriction to flow in the intake is a bad idea.
Especially when it can be resolved so inexpesively.

Kinda like installing LTs and running them into a stock (GM) catback.

Oh yeah I understand. I did the same thing the intake with the heads, heck far as I am concerned having the head porter do the intake is the only right way because if done seperate and the intake ports end up being bigger anywhere than the head ports the shelf created will be very bad for flow.
