What plate are you using? Did you sell the Quad Gemini that was on the car? If so, why the switch?

Hey Dave,
Looks like there are quite a few of us that has done this conversion. I decided to go single stage with a progressive controller. We have everything wired up just in case I want to add the 2nd stage. But I can hit up to a 400 shot on this plate and just use the progressive controller to down size it if needed. Will mainly be spraying a 300 shot. Kinda depends on the race and how fast my competitors are.

damn, that's right up my alley, I'm currently working out a carb'd victor jr., having a buddy convert it to multi-port, having that same buddy work out a sheetmetal elbow to mount a stock-style TB (already have a 58mm holley, might as well keep it?) and possibly run the same distributor with the standard (ford) style cap, instead of the crab-cap design.
you made mention that setup fits under a stock ss hood, will this setup fit under a stock z-28, or firebird/trans-am hood? if not, would it fit without the nitrous plate?

Tony although you'll be spraying a major shot on this setup, whats the word on the elbow restricing or flowing say a boosted application using the same setup on a low comp engine obviously? Is this elbow restrictive for an n/a setup like I'm running? I've also considered a custom sheetmetal intake by Beck but can't find any benchmark #'s of it compared to a much more affordable SuperVic setup. Just kicking around ideas, pros & cons.

The elbow opening matches the opening in the intake. So there is no way it is restrictive. It will work well for n/a applications. This intake will have longer runners than a sheetmetal design.

Thanks Brook!
Yes I will hopefully be going turbo in the next couple of years. I might go for Rick's record. I think I have the car to do it and the resources to build it. Only thing holding me back is $ . It is really expensive to go turbo and I will need a sponsorship from a turbo company to do it. (Working on that!!)
Bill Buck is ready to upgrade my roll cage if I wish.
I already have the FAST XFI.
Changing cam and pistons is no biggie.
Block is already Ol ringed.
I have the fuel system to support it.
Might happen soon.
But for now.....I will keep supporting my nitrous sponsors and go racing.

I cant see the pics on your site!! but from what u posted hot diggity!

The blue oil pan one sticks out like a "la-zer"
Any chance u can spill some beans on the cam specs?? not that I'll ever afford to go this route but I love solids and I love their aggressive rampings.
Oh yea dished pistons?? what c.r.?

Very Nice Tony! Keep me in the loop! When you get yours going send me a vid on the email...
I'll get my beast goin eventually, just havent had time to work on it in the last month or so.
Break in is almost done, I think only 100miles left, just gotta adjust the rockers AGAIN, and replace one of these POS Walbro fuel pumps. Then it'll be off to the dyno for some tuning!
I just havent worked on it because Im buying a new house with a bigger garage and have been working on my existing house to get it ready for sale. I hate house work, and I miss working on my biatch (The nickname my fiance gave the TA).
