hi, im wondering if the LM 2 is a legal exhasut(i live in wisconsin). and how loud is it and how does it sound with stock manifolds and stock y pipe. I orderd the lm2 already and it will be here next week so im just wondering how it is.

i have mid-length headers and it sounds great...no drone or anything. only thing i dont like is...itll pop if i let off the gas real quick at WOT. you're gonna set off a few alarms, specially in parking garages, you're gonna love it... i get compliments somtimes...even got one from a guy in a GT....go figure.

i posted a question to see if folks had done it on a lt1 and liked it..glad to hear it..i may switch over until i can afford a gmmg..just the bullet muffler and the stock tips...oughtta be kinda a nice sleeper effect

ok, thanks it sounds good on the lt1 also right, thats what I have, a 96 t/a. is it better than the loudmouth 1? ive heard the LM 1 is louder with the resonators instead of the race mufflers.

^ The Loudmouth is louder. The Loudmouth 2 is made to be a little more humble with a more restrictive resonator muffler.

You dont have to rev it up, they hear you comeing 5 miles down the road. Everytime I see the cops I shift into neutral and coast by. I've ben pulled over too much so it gone now. I have LT's, cam, and ported heads, no cat so its real loud and alot of the time im on the gas hard so I bring it on myself. If you take it easy you might not have a prob. At idol it sounds like a racecar so it turnes heads, thats because it sounds like your doing 100mph when your only doen 40. Good luck man you will never hear an import sound like that.

i have the lm1 and mids-lengths and a high flow cat and I can tell you its louder thans ****. but it sound great and I alway get many compliments especially from ls1 guys,and have a car sound that loud and mean is great when some ricer is next to you.most of thew time ricers (imports) will wanna race me till i rev up my engine

If you just want it loud as hell get a cutout. That's what I'm doing

ok cool, yeah ill probobly still have my cats(96) so that will proboly make it not as loud but if it sounds badass ill be happy.i was looking at cutouts too. they probobly are good also, but i like the cat back too.

Yea, the previous owner had installed it. Sounds horrible and way too quiet for my tastes.

same thing with me... i have a flowmaster that was already on my car when i bought it... it has longtubes, and ory... and i think that a car with stock manifolds and stock y with cats and a good cat back is louder then my hooker, ory, and flowmaster...
