150mph in my vert. I still had a little RPM left so probably max around mid-upper 150s. Takes a little longer with my 2.73s

Thats a pretty stable picture for going 151mph. How'd you do it?
Just sat the camera right on the air bag on the steering wheel and took some pics that night while the car was sitting still and then a few running at 75 jumped off the highway to make sure they looked good and then back up on the highway to take one at 150 MPH. Next will be a nice video from 75 to 160 MPH

My goal was to peg the speedo in every car I ever owned... but never made it to 160 lol. Then some went to 200... so much for that!

I have buried the needle on the peg, this was after the tune that got rid of the governer. I estimate about 168mph+, and the Hard Top is very nice to go fast with..

You guys are bold doing it without the top up or T's in place. The cargo mat, and stuff flew in your eye posts are making me laugh my *** off. I know they were VERY serious moments....but now make for some VERY big laughs. Be careful guys !!

145, give or take.

My Z would clear 150. I just wanted to see if it would do it. I got my answer, and I think 140 is the fastest I'll ever be going on public highways.

Id rather have my life, then a story to tell everyone when im in a wheelchair.

Now I got 2 reasons to get 3.73's.

171 while logging with my computer. @ 140 the car sucks down, nice feeling but at 171 the car was floating and was very hairy. That was everything the car had in her.

About 7 years ago I was curious how fast mine would go. I had a perfect stretch of road with only one car on it way way in front of me. I held it to the floor. Last time I looked at my speedo it said about 140. I looked up and there was a car changing lanes into my lane. That car was doing the 35mph speed limit. I slammed on the brakes, changed lanes, overcorrected, passed him, slid accross his lane (about 2 ft in front of him), hit the curb, then there were no skidmarks for about 30 feet cause I was airborne, landed, bounced over the second curb, landed in a parking lot, slid through entire parking lot, slid through the chain link fence to the airprort, and finally came to a stop under the wing a a Cesna. My car was actually still running and I drove it back through the fence to just get the hell out of the airport. My car finally died because there was no oil, coolant, or tranny fluid. The impact ruptured the radiator, punctured the oil pan, and completly ripped off the tranny pan (don't ask me how the car still drove for about 100ft with no tranny pan) and completly twisted the hell out of my frame. In fact when I got home I had to pry the hatch open and it did not close after that anymore. Needless to say, the car was destroyed. All in all I slid (and flew) more than a football field and came about 5 feet from getting in a car accident with an airplane.

Neither me or my passenger were wearing seatbelts and nobody was hurt. The passenger did get a small bump on his head from when my detachable face radio flew off and hit him. That and probably a headache from me screaming like a girl!!!!

I have not been past 100mph on a normal road since then.

Moral of the story. No matter how safe you think it is, BAD **** happens fast at 140mph.
