I got one of those factory 97 cams, does that count?

60's were in the 1.53-1.59
1/8 in the 7.45-7.50
1/4 in the 11.8s
MPH in the 113-115

Bolt ons and weight reduction, stock clutch, 12bolt/spool/4.33s, etc, just look up my name, it has been posted alot....

lol we know about you shon...im just tryin to compare to other gear/suspension/bolt-on combos...my car doesnt mph that great and im wondering what it is...wondering if i can tweak it a little or do another bolt on that might be hurting me to get into 11's...i guess no t/b no skinnies no suspencion no injectors ect leads to that....PLUS A 3500 DA
yea thats with lt ory cutout k&n m/t d/r 3.73 stock posi and cover fuddle 3200 and a cc306 with nsa 1/6rr shift at 6500(n20 tune) used to shift at 6800...but with no other bolt ons...
but i need about a 114 mph with my mods...all these 305 guys are running 112-113...

CC305 cam, full boltons, full sysp., 3350lb, th350 with 4100 stall.

11.907, 1.602 60ft, at 112.34..... last year on 15in welds and a 28tall etstreets out back

11.83, 1.62 at 111.87.... this year with more weight reduction and with 17in drag radials on the car.

If the second time looks odd. As in how did I go faster with a slower 60ft, and less mph? I was having problems with the tach and shift light, and ended up short shifting the car by about 500 rpms on each pass.

The car is quite a bit lighter this year, and with the correct shift points and a the 15welds back on the car im looking to go even faster.

Not everyone knows about me there are new members here all the time

The DA you listed is unreal, is that typical? If not, wait till it drops 3000', if that is typical then you will have to get used to odd lookin timeslips, you can put it in the 'calculator' to figure out what it corrects down to at sea level to give you a better idea what it should run at a better DA.

When you say no t/b, does that mean you are on the stock throttle body?

And 60' to 330' is where you want to make the car quick, if you can cover those in a hurry then the rest will take care of the rest, we always look at the 60 and 330 marks to determine if the car is working properly. Mainly b/c we run so much gear that the shifting is done by that time :lmao:

Does your set up make power up at 6800? it is making the power up there you need to use it.

But will say it again, that DA is killing you...

well i used a calculator to figure the da...here in dallas i think im only about 600 fet above sea level but the day i ran it was 105 outside, the best run was when it was about 96...and the track seemed a lil stuffy....

i meant i have a stock t/b...

my 60 are all 1.64- 1.67 330 are all 4.9X

my motor is only a cc306 cam, it does pull good to 6800 but, i didnt want to have to spray it to 6500-6600, i figured by lowering it to 6500 i could spray to 6300 or so...
mainly im worried about the bearings...from what i understand rpm is hard on them and i just figured spray plus alot of rpm wouldent be helping them...what do you think?

Frank Benoit has run 11.2 at 117 ish with a cam-only combo, all motor.

Also, Steve Stumpf ran 11.96 at 112 with the stock cam and heads, all motor.

LoL... i love how everyoen thinks their DA is insane and sucks... then I look at mine and cry (look at my location).

I mean honestly Shon... 6psi (turbo) and a th350 im looking for 11's (where you are)... that is how bad the DA is here... But im hoping that a F/I wont be hurt so much by the altitude and I can 2-step and trans brake my way into the 11's (maybe with the help of a small shot on top of things to get me into the low 11's/high 10's).

Like Engineermike said I've run 11.27 118.90 with stockheads cam only no spray. My best 60ft is 1.48. i run a Vig3200 with 3.73 gears. My car has stock suspension and i drive it on the street often. (not daily) Car weighs 3327 so its not really a empty tincan either. Frank95z
