Predicted rwhp/tq with a cc305 setup?
I am looking into Golen's 350ci/360hp long block that comes with the cc305 cam. I was just wondering if anyone could give an estimate of what rwhp/tq numbers I could expect through an automatic tranny, 10-bolt, and full bolt-ons.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I would say that any cam is gonna need a good stall to see full benifits at the track. Just from my experience my car droped 3 tenths going from a 3200 stall to a 4000 with a CC305

Also remember you will loose aprox 20% through the drive train with an auto 4L60E. So that 360 FWHP Golen motor will be Aprox 290 RWHP. I am running the LE2 heads and a CC503 and am putting down right at 400 RWHP. Drive the car daily. GOOD LUCK

to be quite honest... why are you buying a long block? You could see even MORE power with a AI/LE* head/cam package on the stock shortblock. 360hp? keep in mind that is FLYWHEEL #'s. you can see near that REAR WHEEL hp with full bolt ons, thru a Manual. Near, meaning 330-340.
Not be be an *******, but chads LONG blocks just don't seam to perform. he has good short blocks, but the heads are where the powers at. the money is really better spent on the heads, with the slighty thinner head gasket) for a tiny compression bump. the cc305, really goes hand in hand with ported heads. is chad a head porter, or an engine builder? Just some food for thought.
I've seen dyno sheets of bolt ons only engines(with the 190* duration b-body cam) put down 300-315 rwhp.
I agree, that a 360hp fwhp engine(I bet it is even rated with an electric water pump, and no accy's), will put down around 280-290 rwhp thru an auto.
BUT, HP ratings, wether fwhp, or rwhp, can be a slippery slope, and can varry from dyno-dyno.

I'm not building the car for a weekend or strip car. It's my daily driver with a lot of miles on it, so I was wanting something basic to install that's mostly put together already and has a little more power than I already have.
