The hot cam has proven to work time and time again on stock heads.

Frank Benoit from Houma La. rana 11.4x @ 116 with a Thunder 210/224 cam with stock heads and bottom end. His cam had ALOT of drive ability and idles very smoothly. I love the cam I have. It has proven it'self for sure.

If you are gonna get a cam, I would get the Thunder 210/224 cam.

If you're gonna spray as well, you minght think about the Hotcam or the 305 also.

I would get something bigger than a lt4 hot cam. The 305 cam is a good selection but if it were me I would go with a xe-224/236 cam on a 112lsa is your a m6 or ona 114 if your a a4.

It's completely pointless to overcam a stock headed motor. You have a car that sounds fast and then gets outrun by a lesser vehicle

We put a hot cam in a 95 formula with hooker long tubes, electric water pump, cut out, 4:10 w/stock rear end, stock heads and intake,6-speed, running nittos on c-5 vette rims the car went 12:31@113. After that we pulled the heads and intake off and had a freind port them in his back yard the car went 12:28@116 in colder weather all these pases were made at full weight all interior pieces.

Like Bobby said, the LT4 HOT cam & kit is hard to beat for the objective you stated and the mods you posted. I had the LT4 HOT cam in my 96 Z28 M6. At full weight (3,650) with SLP headers(suk) and SZ50 Firstone Radials, stock 3:42 gears and the HOT cam, I got 3 passes of 12.8 @ 109 (1.9 sixtes). After adding Long Tubes and ET Streets, I went 12.5 at just under 111 mph. After breaking the M6 and putting in a TH350, every thing else the same I went 12.2 at just under 111 mph. Here's that pass.
