Default NEW Elderbrock LT1 intake

I was wondering if anyone here is running that new edlerbrock lt1 rpm air gap intake. It's kinda like a mini tunnel ram intake. I was wondering how much more hp it would make over stock. They list for 138.00. I was just wondering if it was worth the money - Mike

If you search this section youll see alot of threads about it. Nobody has one and nobody expects it to make great numbers. Last I heard was it would be out spring of next year.

i am hearing that is similar to another inatke that was out in the early 90's for the TPI and what i have heard is that it should be an outstanding intake do some research first before u give your opinion.... y do u think Edelbrock would drop so much money on R&D???? just to sell another product? I think that it will perform well espically since it will cool the air and give for a dense charge of air along with a longer runner.... think about it

yea, I just saw an add for it in CarCraft. I wish they would stop the run around and put it to testing already so we can be disapointed.

I dont see how you gains are going to expect gains from it. Wow an air gap. Now you can shove even more hot underhood air under your intake. Until someone puts some R&D down to make a better intake, I think the only worthwhile reason to own a new edelbrock intake is to be able to get an LT4 intake for lt4 heads.

It was in house tested a long time ago I heard and it sucked. There is no reason to assume it will make any waves.

Why??? There are epoxies that can cure heatsoak some of the b-body guys have documented .15 gains from it.

The only reasons Edelbrock is bothering is one the LT4 intake being discontinued and two they know so many of you are so stupid you will automaticlly buy it even after those of us with a brain tell you it is garbage. Want proof look no further than their heads.

Also they are not even targetting fitment to a stock LT1 and are saying some machining will be necessary.

I think someone needs to actually develop an intake with some R&D that's going to produce solid gains. Not that it's going to happen but we can still have hope

yes if the LSx motors intake style is so great, why hasn't anyone made a lt intake manifold shaped like the LSx motors intake manifold?
