anyone in here live on around Oceanside, CA? if so who knows of some good shops that do gear swaps for a reasonable price? i want to go 2.73 to 3.73

if youre willing to drive a good distance i know of a place in azusa who did mine and he is very experienced. good prices too.

how much? you are an hour and a half away.....how long to install new gears?

with my OEM 4.10's, carrier bearings, axle seals, pinion seal and new crush sleeve it was $600 with labor.

it took a day to do since he has alot to do.

^Ouch, I'm looking at $250 for labor here in FL, or does your price above include parts prices? If so then I would say thats fair.

Is there a place on Camp Pendleton maybe? I know they have a shop near the back gate. I don't know how much of a discount they give for military guys. There are some shops on Oceanside Blvd between El Camino Real and I-5 also. My 3.73's were $150 installed in Dallas, TX, but I bought the gears, bearing, seals and shims and brought them in. Anyway, I haven't lived in Oceanside in a couple years, but those shops on Oceanside Blvd should still be there. You could also check Carlsbad and maybe even San Diego if you can get a ride back.
