yeah, I know it sounds low for all the mods but i can't figure out why. just trying to see what numbers other people are making with this cam.

Check your valve lash, I did mine too tight on a new motor and had very similar problems with the valves being held open so I was getting bad gas mileage and the car was way low on power. After that look over you ignition and also see if you can bypass that crapmaster muffler. Your numbers are going to be lower on a dyno because you have a auto, but if you take it to the track you can use your ET and MPH as a guide. Who did your heads as well?

it was a local shop S&S. they build good engines and their cars prove it. so I can't say I took it to a crappy place without a bad reputation.

well i didn't set the valve lash. that was done by the speed shop, but i guess it wouldnt hurt to check it out. being that i have never done that myself can you explain the process of how to check it.

my gas mileage insn't bad and im installing my new opti as soon as the cam and elec. water pump come in. i have an msd 6a i installed it a while ago. I do have a miss at that occurs at like 1100 rpm. it happens when you first take the car out it'll will happen once within thefirst five mintues for like 3 seconds and then not do it again. no codes showed up when i ran it on the dyno. i might have to take it to a friend who have a shop that specializes in diagnostics.

as for my et my best was 13.77 @ 102. and i did bounce off the rev limiter.

That does seem quite low especially with your ported heads. You should be makein alot more than that.

I only made 322rwhp with that cam when I was an auto, but I still ran a 12.56@111.0 full weight on the stock convertor and a slipping tranny that bounced off the limiter before it shifted. So this cam runs hard as hell for the dyno #'s it puts out, don't be dissapointed until you get some track times.

i did get some track times my best was 13.77. Im really thinking its what ulakovic22 told me. im going to set up an appointment at the speed shop to check my vavle lash since i probably wont have time to do it myself.

I think the porting and polishing of the heads are not the problem. When I adjust the valve lash this week hopefully that is the problem. If it is then we can blame the mechanic who installed them on the car not the speed shop.
