Default need help on motor noise

Well last night i was crusing home and i pulled out of the gas station and as the car went into 2nd i heard the worst noise in my life. At first i thought it was my torque converter blew up but then it shifted fine. After that it was so loud i thought the header had come off but as i got to the side of the road i figured out that it was the motor. It making a rattle that is extremly loud. i know its time to rebuild but im wondering if anyone has ever had this noise and if so what it was. it sucks but i guess when something tears up it always goes back better.

Can you be more specific? Was it knocking? Screeching? What part of the motor? Need more details.

H/C 355 sounds nice. Thats what im working towards and it will also be a DD. Check out Advanced Induction, i plan on getting my heads done by them.
