Default Kooks headers?

Do any of you guys have Kooks headers? I'm thinking of swapping out my Pacesetter LT's for some Kooks LT's, I need to know what you guys think of them and I would also like to see some pics cuz I don't know if they would clear my Procharger.

Not a near stock dyno but it does have the Kooks 1 3/4" X 3" LT's on it. Great headers though. Dyno below the sig.

Best headers I've ever used by far for fit, finish, quality, plug access, ground clearance...I have the stepped 1 3/4 - 1 7/8" on my 1995 383 and trap just shy of 120 with a weenie cam...Worth every $$$...

Akan, Did you have to relocate the oil filter or any other modifications needed to make the stepped 1 7/8" headers fit? What is the price on a set? Thanks.

I do not have an oil cooler, but I hear that it can be an issue...On my application there were no mods other than some slight clearancing of the bolt on the steering shaft...It had to be ground down a hair to clear a header tube...and I had to switch to an AC PF454 oil filter (which is the stock filter, and its a bit shorter than the long PF 1218 I used with shorties)...I got them during a buy in with F-Body Central in Baltimore, MD and go them at a great price...They were over $800 for the stainless stepped...dunno what they are now...

Love mine. I've never been more impressed with a set of headers. I have slightly lowered car and I never have to worry about the headers, just the mufflers.

I just switched from Hookers to Kooks. I gained at least 1 inch of ground clearance over the Hookers. I had to remove the stock oil cooler, but no problems with the oil filter. I am very happy with the Kooks. For any of you thinking about going with Kooks, I have 2 of their 3" Y-pipes for sale and I can save you some money. One Y-pipe has cats and the other doesn't. FYI you can also get their Y-pipes with a 4" outlet--they don't advertise that on their website.

Funkybird, I'll try to get you some pictures. Just e-mail me at wdkdds@Comcast.net and put "Kooks pictures" in the subject line.

And to answer your question about the headers and the Procharger--no problem.

Just put some stepped on my 97 and everything on the drivers side was VERY close. I had to get rid of a few things like my low oil level sensor ( I run a canteen pan ). And the steering runs close also. Hopefully everything clears and doesn't hit. Also you'll need to run an AC PF454 oil filter it makes life a whole lot easier. The quality is amazing though.

Best sound, fit, quality, pretty much all the single didget guys use them, well most.

More would use them if it was not for the cost, oh and they are stainless so they will not rust.
