Default whos who when i need a cam

I want to do a cam only car. I emailed lloyd elliot and he said he does NOT sell cams only. Only with his h/c packages. Now who is Bret Bauer? Or Joe O.? I see a lot of names on who does custom cams but dont know how to get a hold of any of these people. Can someone give a list of names and email addys so i cant get a cam started? Thanks a lot.

thats would be Joe Overton... I know he does custom grinds, and considering he has the fastest N/A LT1 in the country I would trust him

I used Joe and am very satisfied...He also had a customer (James Eddy) running 10.70s @ 122 cam only in an LT1 last year...Unfortunately Joe did the cam stuff on the side as a hobby while running a trucking company and dealing with some other stuff that life threw his way...I talked to him a few months ago and he said he was trying to get back into racing, etc, but I haven't been able to get in touch with him since...He would be my choice for going fast, period...

I also know folks on here and other forums use Bret and Lloyd and their stuff seems to work as well...

If anyone were to want a small and nasty cam that works for my N/A set up I did keep the cam card from Erson and I'm sure it could be ground for anyone...

As for deciding who you want to build your cam, I would say go with Bret. I have personally went 11.7 with a CC305 cam only car. I am shopping around for a new custom cam for next year. I sent a few emails to AI and got no response. I sent some PMs to Bret, he was very helpful, and responded ASAP. I also have a friend that is running a custom cam from bret, with less boltons, more weight, his car is head up with mine. So, I would say his car is making some damn good cam only hp.

I thought that 11.2 was the fastest cam only LT1. I have never heard of or seen a cam only LT1 running 10.70. I would have to guess the car would be 2800lb race weight, solid roller, with a 5000, or so stall.

I have heard of the 10.8s with cam only but not much 'proof'. Someone needs to post links with the info please.

His screen name on Cz28.com was/is "Quickshotkimber" I'll do a search for him over there and post the links...10.70s at 122 or something like that...It was a big Joe O. in the 250s HR cam and stock heads/valves...
