Well fella's.. its runs... and the turbo starts to scream by 2200 rpms under load. I don't have a tune or anything as of now so I didn't go out and step on it or bring it any higher than that....

Seems to be working out so far. Turbo is getting oil, No exhaust leaks that i know of yet and no smoking. So hopefully i won't need a restrictor. Really wish i had a clear line to put on as a oil drain to make sure all is good but I guess im trusting god (and the fact i know oil is GETTING to the turbo).

But that is the current update... Can't wait now. The turbo comin in is orgasmic!!

lol... Well I'm not sure when she is really gunna start making boost yet... need a tune so i can go out and beat it... but the turbo was already coming in loud mid 2000's. I honestly doubt it will make full boost till 3000 or later.... It is kind of a big turbo.

Will be towards the end of the week at least till i have any kind of vid. The suspense is killer guys!!

Fabbing a turbo to block stay/mount?

Seen some nasty weld breakage on homemade topmount stuff.

Looks great though! I miss boost

Yeah it has been pretty much finished and driving now.

Popped in the injectors and loaded in a tune friday and went out for
its first lil cruise. Im pretty impressed how it pulls. Shifting down is not an option without some good *** rubber because it just melts em now.

No bracket as of yet... Its only been driven once. I believe it is pretty sturdy by deisgn but i always planned on making a mount. just haven't sat and looked at it to figure one out yet. Its about winter =/

I really dont care about the HP... with the torque arm, SFC's, LCA remounts,th400 with stall, and tires i want to run a good time.

The DA at the track here is often in the 8000+ so im not sure what a reasonable goal for a stock LT1 with a turbo on it... Should run out good though. Sure feels like it does.

looks awesome. I would love to see some track times, or dyno numbers from this setup, just how it is... you have a lot of time in your setup, and should prove to be rather efficient as well. you've definately opened my eyes towards self-fab'ing a turbo setup like this for my car.

good luck with everything, and lets see some numbers ASAP! lol

Im REALLY thinking about putting a kit toghter. The headers are fairly cheap as well as a bunch of piping. The fabbing part isnt that bad on my end, only expensive part is finding a turbo thats not a million dollars. I think your set-up is by far the best iv seen!! I like the fact that you used reg. style headers instead of a log type. Seems like it flows real good and it looks real smooth. What size piping did you use to and from the turbo? I mat start pieceing one toghter now...
