Default Front Brake Issues

Hey guys i am almost positive that i'm having some front break issues. I believe that the front calipers are dragging. This is an ultimate time for an Ls1 brake swap. Now that said i have not done one of these before and have not done much research on the idea. What all is needed to complete the swap. Is there a huge difference in the way the car will stop with the LS1 brake swap. Thanks for any info also if someone could get a list of all the stuff i would need for the swap or a link to an How-to that would be great this way i'm not guessing and matching or waiting for parts.

Thanks alot

Jason

LS1 spindles, calipers, banjo bolt for calipers,pads,LS1 rotors, your used bearing hubs or LS1 bearing hubs(they are the same) re-use the stock flex lines or upgrade to stainless braided ones.

You might want to do ball joints and tie rod ends while your at it.

Yes you will notice the difference, the stopping power is very nice, it made my car a lot more fun on the off ramps.

Look on ebay, some junkyards usually sell complete kits. I got mine for about $300 + shipping. Kinda on the high side, but there was this other guy trying to outbid me and I kinda got carried away .. lol

Just my .02 I think the LT1 Brakes are junk, I just had my real first look at them when doing pads and rotors on my LT1, I thought they would just be as easy as my LS1's Ofcourse not, I just think the calipers are more complicated than they need to be for a floating caliper. I should converted to the LS1 style, oh well

I got mine off of a wrecked '02 WS6 for $150. They make it easier for the C5 swap also.
