Default Anyone have a hard time finding an exhaust shop to hook up true duals?

?is as title sez. I cant find a shop to do it. Doing it myself is not an option im not smart enough.

They all use the emmisions laws as excuses. Since i wont have a cat. If i drive it in will they put my 'illeagle' exhaust on if it leaves on a trailor. I dont think it matters if it passes emmions tests if its not being drivin on the street.

if you drive it there the will not do it with out a cat. Now if you trailor it in and say its off road make sure to remove the plate from the front and back they might, Or you can just get some dummy cats for them to weld up then after they do it have a pipe fabricated to go in the cats place.

I was just giving you a hard time. Whereabouts are you from. If you live in an emissions state its going to be really hard for you to get them to do your exhaust without cats on it. They dont make a true dual exhaust kit for the car, ? Im assuming you have a set of headers? You could always get a set of collectors and usually a shop will put it together. When I had the shop down the street put mine on, I just brought them everything, and they put it on as asked..

I'm stationed in Washington, and couldn't find anyone that would do one from scratch. Got the TSP true duals, installed the headers, drove to a shop with open headers, and had them install it. Some welding was required with the kit, thats why I had them do it. They never said a word about cats or emissions, but they were a small shop, out in the middle of nowhere... I never braught it up, and neither did they. One place I went to originally said they would only do it if it was an offroad car, and I had a paper from the state saying that I would no longer use it on the street. lol Thats just my experiance.

Most places in town say no because of cats.

One place i found wanted $800 + Parts. And the other wanted $1200 With parts, **** em both. Thats what 8'' extensions and some nasty magnaflow mufflers are for

Tony.
