I drive an 04 GTO six speed everyday (LS1) and I still love my LT1 95 Z28 much more. I agree; you don't see that many nice LT1 cars out there. We nice LT1 cars are a rare breed.

When I sold my '93 TransAm last year I told myself Id never buy another LT1 again. Instead I bought a low miles '04 ZX6R with lots of mods which I rode for almost 5 months to school/work. A friend of mine bought a '94Z which was running like **** (ignition problems) and had a few cosmetic defects. After seeing the car and looking at the potential it had as a street/strip car I thought it would be a good idea to eventually get it. My friend was in a bind and couldnt sell the car so I traded the bike + he gave me some cash and its sitting in my garage now.
Its not the only clean LT1 around town though, a good friend has a '96 SS with a hotcam and full-boltons. IMO we have the cleanest LT1's down here.

Your car is just like my old one...which is now my new one![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
I ordered my 96 WS6 and sold it in '01. I bought it back a few weeks ago. Used to run 12.4 way back then. Just a HOT cam, SLP shorties, stock dual cat y-pipe, SLP/Borla cat back, and 4.10 gears. Sold it with 58K miles on it and bought it back with 60,500. He put 2500 miles on it in 8 years. Just like going back in time.
Mine is a red hardtop WS6. Gotta love it!

I bought a brand new Red 97 formula M6, back in the day but always drooled over the Formula Ws6, that car went low 11s on the can, and mid 12.@111 on a set up just like yours. Guy a few blocks away still owns that car, I was gonna try and buy it back, but then found my WS6 and bought it bone stock, except a B&B catback and only 27k on it last year!!!!!
SO glad to be back in a LT1 and the one I always wanted the most.
BTW I traded in the 97 for a 00 Formula, and always regretted it, even though the LS1 did go 12s@108 with mild bolt ons. Just doesnt have the same muscle car feeling.

i got my LT1 back in 06 and it had alot of problems with it. It was originally a firehawk but the tint on the the back hatch was pealing off so the owner pulled it and put a 98 v6 hatch on it. Including switching the whole front end, the rear bumper, the side skirts, the leather interior( swapping it for the 98 cloth interionr) and also painting the headlinner black. He also turned a dual in single out muffler into a single in dual out muffler. Causing all kinds of back pressure issue. The car was pretty much shot. at the time i didnt have the money to put into the car; due to being in college, but now it is actually getting what its needs. I always get "why dont you just pull the LT1 and drop in a LS in" my responce is and always will be i bought an LT car because thats what i wanted. I always have like the 93-97 LT f-body cars since before i could drive.

Bought this car new in 93.
I originally planned on getting the Camaro but had to wait until they came into the dealerships so I kept looking at optioning up a Formula while waiting. The week the Camaro hit the floor I finally got to get a first hand look but fell in love with the first Trans Am to come into the Pontiac dealership.
Since then almost every piece of this car has been in my hands and made better than it was and that just gives me a great feeling when I get behind the wheel. I always planned on keeping this car forever and with over 160K on the clock now, ain't nothing gonna change that!
Here's a recent pic...LT1 Forever.

What color do you have the rear bumper painted in the pic? At least it looks different in the pic. looks gray or silver.
