its a good question, id also like to know. im thinkin if you are only running a 100 shot you should be fine but if you want more juice, you may want a nitrous 'verter.

I think you will be more then fine. Although they do make TQ converters where a anti ballooning plate keeps it from expanding.

The onl;y time you need to worry is if the car has a 5500 stall and hits the limiter at 6k, and the car can actually flash the converter that high. With the right tire it could put the car on the bumper. I say this in respect to a friend who has a 402, LS2 block, th400, moser 12 bolt, running 10.80's during shake down runs and ok 60 foot on motor, he is putting a 150 shot on it and has to tone down his TQ converter.

100 hp with a 3500 stall is fine, as long as the converter has anti ballooning plates. If it does not have the ballooning plates do not spray the car. If the converter expands from the extra stress from the nitrous it will tear the trans appart.

Im running a custom built 3600 stall with anti-balloning plates running 150 shot like its candy and 175 when I feel froggy. Just make sure you have balloning plates before you spray.

I have a brand new Hughes 3500 stall converter that I have never used and I have sold my 4L60E. It has the anti ballon plate in it as well as having the billet cover with the needle bearings in it. It is their hybrid 12" back cover with a 10" front cover on it. The larger part of the back cover is for the 40% bigger lock up solienod to remain locked with the high stall conveter. In Summit Racing they used to retail for $1100.00 but I would sell it for $500 plus shipping. It is supposed to be able to handle way more HP than the 4L60E can support. PM me if you would like to buy it.
