I think I know someone who has one, but I also know someone who used my old L99 crank to build a destroked LT1 and it did not work out so well, he is currently thinking of putting some boost to it to try again, but NA the torque is just down too much and with the stock pcm you gain no revs over what the LT1 crank will take.

I will shoot the guy an email and try to put you two in contact though.

Buy a forged 3" SBC crank if you're running boost. It may not be easy finding one designed for a 1pc main but I'm sure SOMEONE makes them.

The guy I knew has a sale pending, I emailed him to let me know if it falls through.
As a side note consider the L99 rods too then you can use off the shelf 5.7 rod 3.48 stroke rods, the L99 rods are 5.940, run the math deck height/stroke/rod length and you will be pleasantly suprized.
These rods are of the same PM construction as the later LT1 rods well proven to be strong.

Of course you could always wait for the guy who has my old crank and rods to finish his turbo 3" stroke project too see if you really want to move ahead.

I just had an L99 short block built for NHRA Super Stock. I had to use the factory rods because there are no NHRA approved replacements available for a 5.94 rod and getting a set made looks to be an expensive proposition. If I was not restricted by rules, I would probably use a six inch forged rod. The PM rods are great until they come apart. The saving grace on my new motor should be that I am running a very light piston.

Good luck with your project. Let us know how it works out.

The guy I knew sold his crank, I think I know someone else selling a whole motor, he in FL though. Let me know if you want to be put in contact with him.

I will admit to wishing I had not torn mine apart and scattered the pieces in the wind. Would have loved to see how it would react to the current gear and stall and oh say a big old shot of juice.

Being on the b-body boards I will keep looking out as that is going to be the best place to find these since they were a Caprice only engine.

i have a l99 motor for sale for $500.00 with new opti msd rotor and cap, intake to oil pan. If the price it right i'll pull it apart for ya and ship you the crank. I can sell the opti and intake by them selves.

I have just been digging thru my cores and found an L99 crank. It has been turned (I think .010/.010) and is in perfect condition. If you have a good condition 3.48 crank, I will trade with you. I am in Shelby NC, so I am not so far off if you want to come up here and get it.
