Default Painted my Throttle Body

Well I was very impressed with the job that TX RED did on that powder coated intake (https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=644626). It looked amazing, I really wanted to do this to my car, but alas I cannot afford it, so I just got the idea to paint my throttle body

Plus I was looking through ebay and found this really awesome plate for the top of the throttle body, it looks really good and I got it for 15 bucks. Well here are the pics.

Eventually I am going to replace the intake manifold gasket and that is when I will paint the entire intake manifold

Yea its a JET perf air foil, it was cheap so I was like why not. I really liked the plate too, its the best one I had seen, because I had seen some with LT1 and trans am machined in the top, but it looked like crap.

Paint looks great. I also have the jet airfoil, well I was using, I still haven't managed to grind enough off to fit with the trickflow elbow.

Yea it was a pain, I did it with a regular grinder, but I would stop every couple seconds to unclog the grind wheel with a wire brush.

i plan on doing mine glossy black or like you said wet black. there is a site i remember i was looking at that you can buy decals that go over the stripes on top the manifold. you can get them any color and im getting them in a chrome finish. should look nice considering after i build my motor when you pop the hood it will be chrome and black
