Heres a few pics of mine.

The purolater breather filter just has mesh inside it so it won't clog up it will just stop the oil fumes from entering the TB at WOT.

where did you get that catch can? im thinking of doing that on my car as well, but i want to run both pcv and breather lines into a T-junction, then into the vacuum line on the driverside of the intake. I have the deutch breather you got as well so its just a matter of getting off my *** to do it.

Its a NLP catch can, but thunder racing is selling them now too. If you run the breather line into a T into the catch can then there won't be any circulation going on with the air in the engine, it needs to pull fresh air from the throttle body into the valve cover.

How is that? I thought the TB draws air from the crankcase through the valve cover and into the intake stream. the pcv valve does the same but from under the intake manifold, and back to the air stream through the vacuum hose.

BTW correct me if im wrong because i really dont know what's going on with the pcv system in terms of schematics. I was under the impression that it goes that way.

Your intake is different than mine, you have the vacuum line in front of the TB. My car just had a line going from the valvecover to TB and a u-line from the pcv to vacuum line on the side of the intake. that might be why it seems it wont work.

The line from the TB to the valve cover flows from the throttle body to the crank case. That's what supplies fresh air to the crankcase.

It only flows back to the TB when ur at WOT and there is no vacuum in the intake manifold for it to pull the gas out of the crankcase so it flows into the pcv valve like normal and into the TB from the valve cover.

Yup, 93s are different.

I'm trying to figure out how to use a catchcan on mine too.
The manifold is coated in oil inside and it's not helping performance any.

Next level performance is a sponsor here, but thunder racing also sells the catch can, http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...&sid=776#P5920. The purolator part # is B23165, I just ordered it online at http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...tnumber=B23165 and picked it up in the store. I also cut the little bottom part off that blocks most of the airflow since the side openings are still in the gromet. I checked my catch can after the first 1000 miles and it already ~1/3 cup of oil in it.

All i did was put a filter in there. Works fine for me and i have no oil comming out of it or anything else. Am i missing something here of why your running a catch can and running a bunch of hoses everywhere? Not tryin to be ignorant, just asking why......

hummmm..... explain a little more on the whole vaccum leak please. Im still new to the lt1, iv only had mine for a year now.

I know what your talking about the PVC, mine is still routed into the manifold with the hose. So do i still have a vaccum leak with the filter on the fresh air breather? I thought thats all it was. So am i in the clear now?

Home depot sells the husky ones alot of people use. I would't get one of those cheap ebay ones, they are just open inside with nothing to condense the oil vapors so there isn't anything from stopping them from entering the catch can and going right back out it into the line to the intake manifold
