Why not just replace it? I did the racetronix Walbro 255 in mine.

Racetronix FTW!!!

Make yourself a nice access panel and then R&R your Pump.

Good Luck

You dont have to buy the whole kit if you dont want to. The kit uses a Walbro 255lp pump which you can buy for around 100 bucks or so.

Just save up a bit and get the whole racetronix kit.

Hey if the intank pump goes, the inline one probably isn't going to do much for you I don't think, aren't they usually to boost the fuel pressure??

You can't just add an "in line" to replace a failed in tank pump. It doesn't work that way.

What he just said...an inline pump "aids" in supplying, it doesn't "do" the supplying. You have to replace the stock pump. Others have already made good suggestions here...

It doesn't fit exactly right but it's nothing a zip tie can't take care of. You'll see when you pull it out what I'm talking about. It's not that bigga deal. Or you can buy a plug and play kit for more dough. Once you've cut your access hole everything is a snap.

I don't have a link but I know they are out there.

It's not that difficult. When you pull back the carpet above the hatch area, you will basically see the outline where you will cut. Just use a cut-off wheel and go cut around the area. The metal is extremely thin and you will see after you start to make your cut so you'll know how far to go down. You won't cut into anything your not suppose to since there is plenty of room between the tank and where you are cutting. I actually did this swap at my buddy's shop out in the driveway (my car was still on the trailer too) so it's not complicated at all. Once you have made the hole, you can come up with your own method of sealing it. Some people get real creative and make a weather-sealed hinged hatch so if you ever need to get back in there your good to go. Just up to you how creative you want to get but it's really easy and probably something GM should have done in the first place.
