Trans am hatch

That sight is pretty cool. I have always been trying to find back up pieces for my interior and it's been a real bitch to find the right color as I never see them. I have the light grey and it was only offered in 94 and 95 I believe and according to that sight only 255 cars were built with that interior color. Here is a pic so you know the color I am talking about, cool but suxs cause it is very hard to find the carpet and panels for this car if I need them:

speaking of rareties. i noticed in the motorweek video for the 93 T/A the dash is different. then i saw what i was told to be a prototype 93 trans am with the same style dash in it. the difference is in front of the steering wheel. the split between the surfboard piece and the gauge bezel is much further out twords the windshield on the prototype.
you can see what i'm talking about in this pic and at about 5:25

I just checked mine. It says there was only one car ever made with my exact optioins. I it probubly doesent mean its rare right? I just happen to have a unique 1993 right?
I guess there are 57 1993 cars that are:
Black
Trans Am
ttop
lt1
mt9 t56
z rated tires
leather

ok people, as far as the rear gears go this is my impression, and I'm 99.9% certain it's all correct as far as the V8 cars go:
Standard on auto tranny cars was 2.73 gears, (either GU3 or GU4 code I believe-it's one of the 2 but i cant remember which)
The optional 3.23 gear (GU5 code) was a performance upgrade for the auto cars
All manual cars I have ever seen or heard of have had 3.42 gears (GU6 RPO code), and I'm 99% certain this is standard on M6 cars.
and....
There is, in fact, a handul of automatic cars with 3.42 (GU6) Gears as well, I have seen them, with all the RPO codes in person (auto tranny RPO code, as well as GU6 RPO code) they are very rare but do exist.
Other than M4 WS6 cars there was no "standard" 3.23 gears from 93-02-it was always an option. I have seen LS1 Trans am's with 2.73 gears.

Do the high rise and low rise spoilers have the same bolt pattern to bolt on the trunk? Ive got a 94 with a low rise and looking for a high rise to replace it. My 94 TA is a base model (not the GT) but it came with CD, Premium Sound, Leather, Performance Shift feature, etc... Pretty much everything but the damn high rise spoiler. Id have to double check the speedo if its a 155 or not. I recently just saw pics of a TA with no rear spoiler on it. Looks great to me. I like that smooth body line of the hatch with no spoiler.

I'm going to try and clear some stuff up because there are a lot of people who dont know the full story.
Leather
On the topic of leather, it was standard along with T-tops from 1998 model year onward, it was optional from 93 through 97, it was not a standard feature. Even on the 93s which all Trans Am got the 3.23s in the autos or M29 with 3.23s, high level spoiler and 155 speedometer
Spoiler
Next the spoiler, a subject of the most confusion. All 1993s had the upper level spoiler, all 97s had the upper level spoiler. I have every single piece of sales litarture for the 1993 Firebird as I collect this junk for no reason. Not a single indication of the low level spoiler on the Trans Ams. Between the 1994 through 1996 model years the upper level spoiler was optional thus why some of your 94 through 96s have the lower level hatch, I have even seen a six speed car with the low level spoiler.
Performance Package, QLC, K4C, WTF?
Far as shocks and sway bars, unless it was a WS6 or Comp TA, all V8 cars had the same Decarbons and sway bars. Unless it was a 1le, but then it wouldn't be a Trans Am. A performance optioned car just meant 3.23 gears in the auto 93-97, M29 with 3.23s if it was a 93, all six speed 94+ cars came with it. You got GS-Cs, oil cooler, 155 speedo. For the most part I haven't seen a 2.73 Trans Am auto, not saying they don't exist, just haven't seen one. Some of the cars that got 2.73s, Formulas and Z28s, you had a rubber piece blocking the first gear selections, so the console started at a 2 instead of a 1.
Weird dash, Vette valve covers
If you notice some of the early 93 test cars had composite valve covers, some even had the 92 LT1 corvette aluminum valve covers. Imagine they were just pilot cars that got sent to magazines and even motor week, so they had little differences from the actual production cars

6 speeds got 3.42 gears.
