I run purple horny header mufflers "True Duals" no crossover.
I almost never have to remove my exhaust when working on the car, a crossover just gets in the way in my opinion.
I have plenty of power and see no need to run a PITA crossover.
My car is loud but not stupid loud and I have never had a problem with the cops. I have no problem listening to the stereo but I will be removing it for weight reduction this year.
If your looking for every last ounce of power then a crossover is for you.
Otherwise I would skip it and not have to deal with the hassles.
Just one opinion of course.

Right, but how much power is the cross over actually worth? No one seems to have had a opinion on it. Chances are good I'm going to flange it, so I could drop the H pipe/muffler assembly or something, or well I guess probably have it up at the headers.

A universal kit is just that, universal. It comes with several bends and lengths that you cut and weld to make it all line up.

What I'm wondering is would it really be necessary to tuck everything up above the floor pan like most cat-backs are. Obviously with a lowered car you would, but has anyone measured how much ground clearance there is with stock springs? My friend had a 2nd gen and we ran x-pipe, flowmaster 40s and tailpipes under the axle and he never had problems with it scraping.

Also what's the quietest mufflers you could stuff under there, seems like bullets or hornies would be too loud IMO.

search a little more..you'll find that people CLAIM that crossovers will net a little higher hp on the top end from x-pipes, while an h builds mid range. i figured that since most dragsters run no junction, it was pointless...so i had my car dyno-tuned for the straight pipes. i also now run cutouts. edelbrock mufflers have a great sound very deep and loud wide open as the borla xr1's. spintech mufflers shouldnt lose power, although it depends on the particular setup on the car.
every car is differnet.

quietest muffler would be flomaster (like 50 series)..or some flowtech mufflers. borla mufflers are a little quieter, but sound kinda weird IMO. edelbrock is niice..but i preffered the bullets.

Hmm just about everyone that does duals gets rid of the cross brace, which I can't do as my torque arm is hanging off it. Once again I'm indecisive about what I want.

Thats a idea I suppose, would I just run 4" piping after the pacesetter ypipe then? I'm going to be going with pacesetter longtubes. Or does someone make a 4" y pipe?

I also checked the external mod forum, someone there did TD's with the spohn torque arm, I PM'ed them to see what they purchased to run them.
