Default 93 lt1 wont start

Hey guys I got a buddy on here who has a 93 lt1 (y2khawk05). He has been having a problem with his car starting. When I was driving the car a couple months ago I would have to turn the key upwards of 10 times before the car would start. Also sometimes I would have to jump start it cuz all the battery power disappears. He just recently got a code 25 or 26, i cant remember. He talked to some people and they suggested he change the computer. He has changed the computer and now the car wont start. Got any suggestions?

I should probably add a little to what has been done to the car to better help the cause. We rebuilt the engine and the car ran fine. It started having trouble and threw code 26 (Quad Driver Module #1 Circuit). The car would still start & run but would act up and appear like it drained the battery. I called around and it was suggested the ECM was going bad. I purchased a remanufactured ECM from Orielly yesterday. I put everything back together and now the car won't start. We plan to go back and check connections, but the real question is. When replacing the ECM, is there any particular order you have to go through? Does the new computer need time to set itself. Any yes, I did pull my chip and placed it in the new computer. It does not make sense why the car would start with the old ECM, but not the new.

Ok, so does anyone know if the remanufactured ECM for a 93 LT1 come with the knock sensor included. According to my Chiltons, the knock sensor is under a cover with two small screws holding it. I do not find the knock sensor anywhere. Any ideas?

ok first off.. the 93 computer doesnt use a knock module... its a PROM chip in there and im not sure if it comes with it or not... but the descriptions dont help us figure out whats wrong with the car... its hard to say with out any testing done to the car... it could be from the ignition module, coil, opti, battery cable... there are numerous things that you or he needs to test to at least help us help you.... we cant figure it out from here... but we can help...

also if i remember correctly that code goes for multiple things.. usually on cars that have bad EGR valves and taking the AIR pump off the car will do that as well... it can be turned off with a simple tune...

My car throws a quad driver code because the EGR has been deleted from the car and the computer. I've been driving it over a year now with no problems because of it so I don't think thats your problem. I had a buddy with a 97 TA that had the same starting problems. We changed the fuel pump and it fixed it.

heres a little thing to check..have one guy try and start it..the other check the maf sensor plug and icm. if you hear a click while moving each, then you found your problem. just something to check.
