Default tuning/fuel pump question!!! help please!

ok so i just finished my top end setup, and im sending my pcm out to pcmforless to get it tuned, but i need to get a fuel pump also. for you people who have done this, do i need to get the racetronix fuel pump installed first before i tune the pcm or can i get away with doing a mail tune first and then installing the fuel pump?

You can do it in what ever order you want. Since you'd just be replacing the pump, your fuel pressure won't change (stock regulator) and everything will work exactly the same as it did with a stock pump. Good luck.

It's not going to chug any more gas than your car already does, unless your current pump can't keep up with the demands of your engine.

did you guys make a access hole in the back of your car for the fuel pump or did you drop the rear axle and the tank?

Access hole. I can have my pump out in 5 minutes, which has come in handy.

good deal, how did you guys fasten the plate back down? pop rivets or screws? im thinkin screws unless i found some flush hinges. Interesting fact, i found out a few pontiacs actually had this access panel pre cut from the factory only for a select few years...... every car should have this mod done!!

****, I only cut 3 sides and peeled mine up. Then, I just push it back down, put some tape around the edges and put the carpet back down. I have to pull it out so often, that it wouldn't benefit me to make it look nice.
