Progress pics of big boy LT1....

Tony.
would you kindly let me know what heads will flow 350 plus cfm, and that will bolt up and work just as our AFR 227's do right now!
i will take one set as well!!!
I just picked up a set of All-pro 227's cnc'd to 255 that are rumored to flow 350+. I will know what they flow in a couple weeks. I got them with a set of Jesel J2k's for $2500 and the heads are fresh and the Jesels have 6 races on them. All new Del-west valves and Isky springs, Ti retainers ect. They are spread port exhast as well, 60/40 .085 dowel shift. They are going to AI fo a touch up and conversion and then getting bolted on
There was a big sprint car assioation that switched ther Spec heads from the ALL-pro's to a brodix. All the guys I talked to said the All-pro was a better head but the assioation was trying to slow things down a bit.
The guys I bought mine from were making 780 on alcohol with a very restrictive Kinsler injection set-up. They said with a carb type setup another 40-50hp would be very easy.
I too was looking at the RR215's from AFR and almost got them, but the wait was rediculous and I thought about getting them and having them ported by someone but everyone I talked to was leary of doing it due to casting problems they had seen with AFR in the past. The new eliminators are really what I wanted but I didn't want to wait 5 years to get them
Just an option if used parts happen to be in your radar scope. I have 2 kids so I have to budget my go fast

i'm happy with what my 227's flowed and they'll be more than enuff to hopefully run 9's NA and 8's on the bottle....
330 cfm on the intake at .700 i'll take anyday...

Now You guys would NEVER accuse Me of that

Then again I am still using stock modified castings

I am back to the waiting stage. Going to add a second stage and the car is stripped waiting to go in for the new CM 10 point and NHRA cert
back on topic:
anyone gonna try the new AFR eliminator heads? I think I might.

Tony.
Not the LT1 eliminators I take it?
Yeah I thought eliminators were still months out....
Tony I am working a deal with an individual at AFR on doing a comparo on before and after dyno #'s and track times with no other changes other than swapping from old school 227's to the eliminators.....
That's if my pig ever stops punishing these jackstands...

From what I understand the 180cc/195cc/210cc eliminator heads are in production, the 227s are still being R&D.
Tony.
Nah, I want to see what these new AFRs and the new Trickflows do, be cool to see, maybe make it even easier to break the 500rwhp barrier with a street hyd roller cam and LT1 intake. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...afr+eliminator
It looks more like this now, only the heads are actually on there with studs.... all that's left is the intake/throttle body and putting the crank trigger and distributor on there and phasing all the ignition stuff..... i should be up and running soon.
