Insights on a stall
Ok I will try that this weekend. It does it from 1-2, and 2-3. So if it does delay, then it is the clutches? or could it be something else. Someone suggested to me it might be the throttle positioning sensor.

in my stock 95 lt-1 with 2.73 gears i bought a used art carr racing 9" that was built for a s/c 600hp motor. called art carr, they said with my much lower torque that it should be like a 3200 street converter - buy it. they were right. it was a hard hiting but easy around town unit with full lock up. Was 1 grand new, i paid 450 barely used.
on my ls-1 my fav over the 3200, 3600 and 4000 was a yank pt4400
that was with heads/cam and 3.73
the only point i want to make is don't be conservative with the stall rpm - these cars like to slip up to 3500 rpm and start pulling, then on light throttle or decel they like to disengage and coast - hit the gas again and the vertor hits
3200 midwest was as loose as a 4000 but never felt right, 3200 vig was too tight like a stock convertor, 3600 tci was too loose again without any good qualities for a street car.
these were my deals - not a rip on the companies - others may have beter results.
alot of this stuff is opinion on driving fun - not quarter mile testing.
i'll never put anything less than a 3500 behind a stock motor and more like 4000+ behind a built motor
enjoy the convertor and go to 3.73 for added kicks with no downside
Have any times behind that "awesome" restalled stock converter?
