Default What plug gap for NGK TR55's for stock LT1?

My uncle's got a 95 vette which is in need of a tune up before we sell it. I'm gonna pick up some NGK TR55's, but was wondering what gap I should be running in it. The car is all stock except for a cat-back. I would know what to run if it was an LS1, but I don't really have much experience with the LT1's, so any feedback is appreciated. My guess would be .050.

.044? That seems a bit small. How did you come across that info?

If I order the TR55's for an LT1 from thunderracing, they come pre-gapped at .050. I'm wondering if this is just how they come in general, or if they are gapped that way just for the LT1's.

Well I put mine at .40 but I have a modded car. So .50 should be fine for it.

Yea, I'm thinking anywhere in the .045-.050 range should be fine. I certainly wouldn't go smaller than that.

Its a crap shoot. I have a stroker with all msd and tr55's. I run .050 and have great results. Now for some one with a stock opti running alittle smaller say .040 is as small as i could recomend, you might buy a few thousand more miles out of that stock opti by taking some of its load off of it. Also being its a little smaller you are less likely to get the spark blown out at upper rpm's.
