Unhappy Help.. i think some thing is way wrong...

My car is bolt on car all mods are in sig.. i after i did my last tranny swap the car seems like it doesnt have the power it used to, so i thought it might have been my 02's since from what i know they haven't been changed since 94 lol so i changed them and noticed a little difference but on my scan master its retarding my timing by 7 degrees... i cant hear any valve tick or internal engine knock so i think every thing is ok so far but i still need to pull the passenger side valve cover to check my roller but i can hear any of them either.. what else would cause suck a retard on timing?.. and is it time to just pull the motor and rebuild it? help pls..

Hmm what have you checked so far, so i dont repeat what you have tried. Before anything else unplug your maf and see what it does. There is a reason i have people do this. I will explain if i need to but trust me.

i hope its not my maff, its a GMS... but the head gaskets are fine, the rollers are still adjusted right and not making any noise, no internal noise from valves or any thing, the fuel pressure is still up were it should be.... i pulled plugs and they all look fine, the wires are ok, no vacume leaks, no exhaust leaks.... i was thinking about a compression check but i dont want the bad news but im prepared for it...

OK. The point of s/d helps narrow things down. S/d is more conservitive on fuel and timing and is less effected by other variables. Im sure your not but you didn't post weather or not you have and codes. But back to the point. GO for a drive with it in sd and post back any changes. If it doesnt get better then we will start on little things like filters. If it wont run at all then it points to map. If it does get better then we will go after cleaning the maf, air leaks in the intake.

i have the lt4 knock moduel and the GMS mass air but the car was getting on my nervse today so i took it to a back road and power braked it and let her go, she doesnt feel as fast as she did but kept the tires up in white smoke till the start of overdrive, but still retarded the timing 5 degrees....

You are getting knock for some reason. Have you gased up recently and maybe got some bad gas?

Headers can give false knock but its not likely. The lt's might be making it run pig rich. That would account for the slugish feel but not the knock count.

but the headers have been on it for about the last 7 months and its never felt like this.... im kinda hoping i just over looked a roller and its that... it still has ggod power but i miss holding it side ways from stop to the end of 4th but it could also be that since its warmed up the tires are just starting to hook a little better and im used to the power but how much power im a loosing with it retarding the timing from 5 to 7 degrees?

I dont know. Anyone that posts a # is just guessing. If it down on power its down on power. Only you can tell. You never awnsered if you tried it with out the maf. Or if you tried cleaning it. Every sensor accounts for something. You have to awnser the questions or i cant help you anymore.

Replace your map sensor. If it runs worse with out the maf hooked up then your map is about shot. Ya and fixing the rocker might help it to. lol.
