What are the specs on the LE4 cam? Also, what's your engine and drivetrain setup?

i ordered it from lloyd and i have a set of heads done by him also. yes it is a totally forged 383. sorry but the spec's for the le4 cam can not be given out due to being lloyds custom grind. if you want you can call lloyd for information on the cam. my set up is a 383 totally forged with 6 inch h-beam rods and wiseco flat top pistions. caddy racing lifters, comp 7.2 chromeoly pushrods, 1.6 RR's, built t56 that will hold 600hp. 12 bolt moser rearend. msd opti, centerforce flywheel and clutch. having a driveshaft built and i am building my own torque arm, 3 point sub frame connecters. i think that is all i have but i could be missing some minor details.

I just fired mine up this weekend, it is a 383 with le2 heads and le4 cam. The idle is similar to my 350 with the le2 cam, maybe slightly more lope. (I am running this car with downturns off the headers) ...this thing is a beast, quite a bit of surge before 3000 rpm (3.42 t56) after 3k it will let loose. Have not run the car past 5000 yet, (breaking in) but I built this motor to run to 7k ...I think this will put down 430 + hp.

Yea i thought i was going to laugh when i got to the track!! but it actually held up good and got decent 60's. That pic was the first time i have every ran the car right off the trailer... not transbrake or even preloading the suspension just straight flashing the conv.

An LE4 is a LE3 for a 383. In other words. Lloyds LE3 383 specd cam would be considered an LE4 in a 350. I'm unaware of any "LE4" for a 383. I'm sure he can tweak things a bit depending on an individuals combo but basically the the above info is default.

I was a bit confused about this once myself and spoke to Lloyd about it. This is what he told me.

Ive bought LE cam grinds, best your going to get before spending the cash is 23X/24X etc etc.

When you do spend the cash, the cam card is in the box.

Long story of the short is most people do not really understand cam spec #'s to the point to really matter.

Thats why you give the specs to Lloyd or Bret etc etc and you will rec an answer that should satisfy the needs.

Call Lloyd, he loves to talk to customers and help them make good decisions they will be happy with in the long run.
The man knows his products and he knows what combos work under which conditions.

His cam selection changed recently, you can now see the actual specs before purchasing.
Which actually works out nice and should help deter people with 4100lbs cars and stock
bottom ends from trying to run 24x/24x cams.

Thats good, It was like that 3 years ago and I always thought that was goofy BUT, i respected the decision. Once the cam card was given, techically you can get the specs.

All that secret cam stuff is kinda bogus.

IF its a one-off cam then I understand but if its made for the public, then you cant really guard the secret.
