Newb Questions
But I do have a couple of questions if you wonderful people would not mind taking a minute to fill me in.
Im thinking about making the 'hawk a 383, so i was searching around, and I came across some HP/TQ numbers, but on a mustang dyno. WTH is a mustang dyno? I thought a dyno was a dyno?
And also everyone always talks about how tuning is so important with heads/cam/stroke ect. This is the route I am planning on going at the end of the summer. What exactly is meant by the term "tuning"? Is it like a programmer that plugs in, or do you take it to someone to have it tuned? And is it possible to tune a 93 model with an OBD1? Thats what I am lookin at with the hawk.
And you drop a new chip in, not a typical tune like the 94+ people get to do.

I believe there is a site specifically for 93's that your going to find much more info about it. Can somebody chime in here?

Even if you were trying to reap the benefits of having to only plug in to pass with OBD2 conversion, they will still stop you because of the year model of your car.
That being said, OBD1 has cheaper diagnostic and tuning options for less $, but does however get the dreaded sniffer.
OBTW being your a 1997 you should have OBD2 already.
